Paloma Valley extended the longest winning streak in Sunbelt this week by beating Perris, 35-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Wildcats.
Lakeside lost to Elsinore 38-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jacob Rasar was a bright spot for the Lancers, as he threw for 90 yards and 1 touchdown in the defeat.
Brent Boehm threw for 269 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Boehm put up the best numbers in passing as Paloma Valley bested the Panthers. Boehm's favorite target this week was Michael Valencia, who caught 4 passes for 86 yards.
Paloma Valley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Boehm has thrown for 1,513 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Valencia has 20 catches for 422 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Paloma Valley takes on second place Heritage. Bert Esposito's team defeated Perris last week, while Heritage topped Temescal Canyon.
