It was a good run, but The Swan Valley Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 21-13 to Bullock Creek. Swan Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bullock Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Swan Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Klein, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Cal Delisle, who picked up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Bo Schwartz, who rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown.
Swan Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bullock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Swan Valley will be playing at home against Birch Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Birch Run is ranked 201st, while Swan Valley is ranked 188th). As for Bullock Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Clare at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clare is on a three-game streak of home wins, Bullock Creek a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
