There's no place like home for the Overton Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 74-61 victory over Smyrna on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
William Carter was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Overton's points. Another player making a difference was Jehmel Madison, who scored 12 points.
Overton pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Smyrna, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Overton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Smyrna won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Glencliff at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Glencliff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
