  Abby Turnpaugh made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Turnpaugh was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Holy Cross' defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-4. As for Notre Dame Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season.
