Zeigler-Royalton has gone a perfect 8-0 against Vienna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Vienna will be up against a hot Zeigler-Royalton team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Tornadoes' way against Wayne City on Friday as they made off with an 11-2 victory.

Chase Freeman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Bradden Mays was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lukas Moyers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
Zeigler-Royalton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Vienna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Elverado get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Monday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Like Zeigler-Royalton, Vienna also got a great game from a two-way player: Hayden Jones. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Waters, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Braedon Hurst was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Zeigler-Royalton's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Vienna, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Zeigler-Royalton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Vienna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Zeigler-Royalton's way against Vienna in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Zeigler-Royalton made off with a 17-3 victory. Do the Tornadoes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
