Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Takes a Loss

Trinity Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 56-47 to the International Community Comets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-49 back in November.

Loss or not, Trinity Prep got some senior leadership from Aiden Stillman and David Hull. Stillman went 8 for 9 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Hull went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and six assists. Stillman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. James Hawley was another key player, putting up seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead International Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Slade Woodruff, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Boaz, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for International Community, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Trinity Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-39 win against Merritt Island Christian on the 21st. As for International Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-55 victory against Geneva on the 21st.
