St. Thomas More took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Parkview Baptist Eagles 3-0. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won six games in a row dating back to last season.
St. Thomas More not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Parkview Baptist between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-15.
Morgan Dunn paced St. Thomas More's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dunn got some help from Audrey Wheeler and her 18 assists. Eleanor Guidry controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Thomas More will challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkview Baptist, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dunham at 6:00 p.m.
