After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunnyside, The McLane Highlanders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 33-3 victory over Hoover. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for McLane's eight-point performance the contest before.
Noah Zamora was a one-man wrecking crew for McLane as he rushed for 40 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Da'Zir Newhouse was in the mix too, providing McLane with two touchdowns.
McLane is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Hoover, their defeat was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
McLane will take on Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Golden Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Hoover, they will head out on the road to face off against Orosi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Orosi has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
