El Cerrito put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Oakland Tech Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. While the Gauchos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Natalia Gawlikowski and Courtney Miles were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Gawlikowski didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Miles pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gawlikowski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Gawlikowski scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Miles scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Miles a new career-high in doubles (three).

In other batting news, Olive Calvin was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Journee Teasley, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

El Cerrito pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, El Cerrito will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.33 runs per game on average), something El Cerrito will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oakland Tech, they will challenge McClymonds at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Oakland Tech's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
