Cape Henry Collegiate has struggled against Norfolk Christian recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Norfolk Christian found their leader in underclassman Justice Brown-jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Brown-jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abuna Ruop, who scored 12 points along with eight blocks and six rebounds.
Cape Henry Collegiate dropped their record down to 7-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.8 points per game. As for Norfolk Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
