The American Heritage Stallions were the 47-41 winner over the American Heritage Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Stallions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Patriots are ranked 434th).
Several Stallions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xander Gerard, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Zack Burrow, who scored nine points.
The Stallions bumped their record down to 10-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for the Patriots, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Heritage will take on Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy - Canyons has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for American Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Averaging 68.2 so far this season, Somerset Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so American Heritage better be ready for a challenge.
