Softball Recap: Oelwein Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Oelwein proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Turkey Valley Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Oelwein's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Turkey Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Oelwein has already played their next match (against New Hampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Turkey Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-2 defeat against Maquoketa on the 7th.
