It was a good run, but Firth unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 17-5 to the Malad Dragons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since May 17, 2024.

Firth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinton Hall, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Firth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Malad, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Firth will face off against Declo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Malad, they will take on Grangeville at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
