After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three match, The Sale Creek Panthers finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were outmatched by South Pittsburg on the road and fell 44-0. While losing is never fun, Sale Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while South Pittsburg is ranked 65th).
Sale Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for South Pittsburg, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Sale Creek will head out on the road to face off against Copper Basin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pittsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Whitwell at 8:00 p.m.
