The Dallas Christian Chargers were the 53-45 winner over Dallas Thunder when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Dallas Christian took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dallas Thunder on Tuesday.
Dallas Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackie Schlegel, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Schlegel scored a full 28.2% of Dallas Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Macie Perkins, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Dallas Christian's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-6. As for Dallas Thunder, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prince of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Prince of Peace comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Dallas Thunder will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maypearl at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
