Lebanon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They and the Bunker Hill Minutemen will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
On Saturday, Lebanon had to suffer through a rough 65-24 loss at the hands of the Griffins. Lebanon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-18, which was the final score in Bunker Hill's tilt against the Vipers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Bunker Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Vipers are ranked 203rd).
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Bunker Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-17.
Lebanon was taken down by the Minutemen 64-28 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Lebanon, Grant Burch (who scored 21 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
