It was a good run, but the Crestview Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allen East. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crestview has scored all season.
Crestview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cali Gregory, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 45% of Crestview's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Myia Etzler was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Allen East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will take on Van Wert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Van Wert will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 540th, while Crestview is ranked 34th). As for Allen East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Celina at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
