Basketball Recap: Central Skates Past Angeline Academy of Innovation with Ease

On Monday, the Central Bears humbled the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers with a 62-25 victory. With that victory, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.

Xavior Haegele was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Talyn Poole, who posted ten points and four steals.

The win got Central back to even at 5-5. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-37 victory against Crystal River on the 17th. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-17 defeat against Sunlake on the 17th.
