The Eastern Warriors will take on the Wellston Golden Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Eastern will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Thursday, then bounced right back against Whiteoak on Friday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Wildcats. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Raylee Brummett was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Eastern got a massive performance out of Chloe Hauck, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emmery Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Eastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whiteoak only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Wellston posted their closest win since April 14th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Southern 7-6.
Like Eastern, Wellston also got a great game from a two-way player: Lyla Pittenger. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Pittenger has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddie Childers, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Kennedi Stevens was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Eastern's record is now 15-6. As for Wellston, their record now sits at 20-7.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eastern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Wellston struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
