 On Monday,  everything went Maritime Academy Charter's way against Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech as Maritime Academy Charter made off with  a  13-6 victory.
  Dominic Lopez made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
 In other batting news,  Yariel Santiago-Campos was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.  Jadin Aviles was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, South Philadelphia got themselves on the board against Franklin Learning Center on Monday, but Franklin Learning Center never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp  9-0 win. South Philadelphia's  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Maritime Academy Charter's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-0. As for South Philadelphia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
 Everything went Maritime Academy Charter's way against South Philadelphia in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023 as Maritime Academy Charter made off with  a  12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maritime Academy Charter since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
