The Foran Lions came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Hillhouse 65-50. Given Foran's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Hillhouse is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Faith Doyle, who scored 27 points along with five steals. The game was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Deldin, who scored 13 points.
Foran pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hillhouse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Foran will be playing at home against Wilbur Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilbur Cross comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hillhouse, they will head out on the road to face off against Harding at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harding comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
