The Trotwood-Madison Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Dunbar Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Trotwood-Madison can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They really took it to Belmont for the full four quarters, racking up a 88-61 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Trotwood-Madison has posted yet this season.
Tim Carpenter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Delamar Blanton was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, even though Meadowdale scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Dunbar still came out on top. Dunbar walked away with a 68-60 victory over Meadowdale. Given Dunbar's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Meadowdale is ranked 551st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trotwood-Madison's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points per game. As for Dunbar, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Trotwood-Madison ended up a good deal behind Dunbar when the teams last played back in January of 2023, losing 64-48. Can Trotwood-Madison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
