Softball Recap: Williamson Wins Going Away Against Addison

Williamson got themselves on the board against Addison on Thursday, but Addison never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Olivia Gee made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alexis Sprague was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Williamson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Williamson's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8. As for Addison, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Williamson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-0 victory against Smethport on the 16th. As for Addison, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-17 win against Canisteo-Greenwood on the 16th.
