San Juan Diego Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mateo Aceves, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Max Duarte, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds.
South Austin W's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for San Juan Diego Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
South Austin W will head out on the road to face off against St. Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Stephen's Episcopal will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for San Juan Diego Catholic, they will stay at home for another game and welcome First Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Matthew Levine and Armando Garza.
