Gate City fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against John Battle by a score of 25-13 on Friday.
Meanwhile, Central Wise's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 24-7 to Lee.
Gate City's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Central Wise, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Gate City beat Central Wise 21-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Gate City repeat their success, or does Central Wise have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
