After a string of five wins, Westminster Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt a 53-25 loss at the hands of the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Briarwood Academy found their leader in sophomore Macie Rabun, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Carolina Crawley was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Westminster Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Briarwood Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Westminster Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-38 defeat against Edmund Burke Academy on the 9th. As for Briarwood Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-5 victory against Monsignor Donovan Catholic on the 9th.
