After eight games on the road, Jefferson Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Boys' Home Hilltoppers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Boys' Home will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Appalachian Christian HomeSchool scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Jefferson Christian Academy still came out on top. Jefferson Christian Academy walked away with a 68-61 victory over Appalachian Christian HomeSchool. The victory was just what Jefferson Christian Academy needed coming off of a 76-42 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, sadly, Boys' Home is still looking for their first win of the season after 12 games. They were the victim of a tough 74-53 defeat at the hands of Lewisburg Baptist Academy on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Boys' Home can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 442nd in Virginia, while Lewisburg Baptist Academy is ranked 96th in West Virginia).
Jefferson Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Boys' Home, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
Everything came up roses for Jefferson Christian Academy against Boys' Home when the teams last played two weeks ago as the team secured a 86-46 victory. Will Jefferson Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Boys' Home have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
