Football Recap: Ford Piles Up the Points Against Community

Ford won against Brownsboro last Friday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Community Braves 49-20. With the Panthers ahead 28-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Andrews, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. Mason Tigue also helped with two scores in total.

Ford didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Community to a completion percentage of just 48.4%. The team can thank Devon Williams for the heroic effort on defense: he. Ford wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 60%.

Ford's defense didn't let Grayson Calloway., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Leading the way was Xzavian Perez with two sacks.

Community lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Calloway, who threw for 284 yards and three TDs. Ely Dickson also helped out as he racked up 101 receiving yards.

Ford's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 27.8 points thus far. As for Community, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
