The Big Spring Steers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Sweetwater by a score of 50-47. Sweetwater found their leader in underclassman Mallory Gibson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaidynce Tilley, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Spring will take on Levelland at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sweetwater, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estacado at 6:15 p.m. Estacado presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sweetwater in Texas (Estacado is ranked 263rd, while Sweetwater is ranked 727th).
