The Glenwood Springs Demons entered their tilt with the Palisade Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Glenwood Springs came out on top against Palisade by a score of 62-51 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Glenwood Springs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Glenwood Springs had a senior duo take command as Sim Wenger scored 20 points and Alec Claassen dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Claassen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Cale Sollars was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Palisade lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Howard, who scored 13 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Ruppelius, who scored nine points.
Glenwood Springs' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Palisade, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Glenwood Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palisade, they will head out on the road to challenge Grand Junction Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
