The Walnut Wildcats were the 46-6 winner over the Hatley Tigers when they last played one another back in October of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. Walnut fell just short of Hatley by a score of 29-26. Walnut has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cayson Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 215 yards while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Walnut's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. As for Hatley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Walnut will look to defend their home field on Thursday against East Union at 7:00 p.m. As for Hatley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
