The A.C. Reynolds Rockets waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Henderson 65-28 at home. A.C. Reynolds has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 31 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead A.C. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julie Janus, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Janus hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Peyton Harvey, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, West Henderson still got an impressive performance from Jaza Wilson, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
A.C. Reynolds pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for West Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A.C. Reynolds won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Erwin at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Erwin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while A.C. Reynolds is ranked seventh). As for West Henderson, they will be playing at home against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
