The Natchez Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Pass Christian 52-23 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Natchez.
Natchez's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was RONIYA ELLIS, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The matchup was ELLIS's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of ZAMONIE WILSON , who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Natchez pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22 points. As for Pass Christian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 14-5 record last season and are now at 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natchez will square off against North Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pass Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Martin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Martin's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Pass Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Pass Christian.
