The Owen J. Roberts Wildcats will face off against the Coatesville Red Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Owen J. Roberts 2.2, Coatesville 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Owen J. Roberts hadn't beaten Boyertown on the road since April 30, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them two weeks ago. The Wildcats walked away with a 5-1 win over the Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Maddie Reed made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amelia Atkins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coatesville walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jaguars on Monday, sneaking past 8-6. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Raiders, who have now won four contests in a row.
Gracelynn Landis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Jillian Wimmer was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Taylor Sherry was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Coatesville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Owen J. Roberts, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Owen J. Roberts hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Coatesville struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
