Kamryn Jefferson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Jefferson was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of McGehee's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Kyler Bell was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
