Basketball Recap: Thrasher Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thrasher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. The contest between the Rebels and the Mantachie Mustangs didn't end well, with the Rebels falling 63-46. The Rebels were down 54-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Thrasher still got an impressive performance from Joseph Ostrander, who shot 41% from the field on his way to 24 points and five steals. Ostrander is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Ja'Kurious Taylor was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Thrasher's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mantachie, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Thrasher will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Grove at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. The Rebels will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mantachie, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-46 victory against Blue Mountain on the 25th.
