Softball Recap: Celebration Has No Trouble Against Edgewater

Celebration's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-5 margin over the Edgewater Eagles. Considering the Storm have won 11 contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gigi Reyes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelen Payan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Celebration was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. They are 11-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory snapped Celebration's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-12 record. As for Edgewater, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

As of now, neither Celebration nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
