Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Parkview Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Elmwood-Murdock. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Terance Pittman, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Parkview Christian's points. Tairren Scott was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds.
Whiting's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Parkview Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
