The Lyndhurst Golden Bears entered their tilt with the Bogota Buccaneers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Lyndhurst blew past Bogota 53-28. Considering Lyndhurst has won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lyndhurst was led to victory by Brooke Harper and Sam Mayer. Harper scored 18 points, while Mayer scored 16 points along with six assists and four steals. The matchup was Harper's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asya Akar, who scored eight points.
Lyndhurst's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bogota, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyndhurst will challenge Rutherford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Rutherford is ranked 138th, while Lyndhurst is ranked 134th). As for Bogota, they will head out on the road to face off against Leonia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Leonia will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
