Sangre de Cristo will be playing at home against Norwood at at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Sangre de Cristo come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Sangre de Cristo, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-70 to Hoehne. Sangre de Cristo's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Riley Clayton, who rushed for 115 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, if Norwood were riding high off their 34-6 takedown of Del Norte two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Norwood suffered a grim 12-34 defeat to Mancos last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Norwood a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Sangre de Cristo took a serious blow against Norwood the last time the two teams met, falling 16-52. Maybe Sangre de Cristo will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back on MaxPreps for all the details.
