Maricopa Institute of Technology put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by BASIS - Peoria at home to the tune of 57-18. The win made it back-to-back wins for Maricopa Institute of Technology.
Meanwhile, Ridgeline Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 71-51 defeat at the hands of AZ Compass Prep National. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ridgeline Academy has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cayci Muessig, who scored 20 points. Muessig is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Nadya Gutierrez was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Maricopa Institute of Technology pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Ridgeline Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-1.
