Fuqua has struggled against Brunswick Academy recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Fuqua lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Minix. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 42.4% of Fuqua's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fuqua struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Fuqua has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Brunswick Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Fuqua will take on Tidewater Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fuqua focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Thursday. As for Brunswick Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Banner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brunswick Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
