The Peoria Christian Chargers can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Elmwood as Peoria Christian made off with a 58-38 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Peoria Christian has posted since December 12, 2023.
Peoria Christian was led to victory by Jameson Fisher and Malachi Persinger. Fisher scored eight points along with eight assists, while Persinger scored 11 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Fisher posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Walton, who scored 13 points.
Peoria Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Elmwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
Peoria Christian will be playing at home against Lewistown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Astoria/VIT at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Astoria/VIT focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Saturday.
