The East Central Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Connersville Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. East Central will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
East Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Rushville on Saturday. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Lions.
Rose Yunger looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, East Central got a massive performance out of Avery Seal, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Seal a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Scully, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Connersville had just enough and edged out Columbus East 12-10 on Friday.
Taylynn Selby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Selby was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

Connersville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
Connersville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for East Central, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
East Central beat Connersville 9-6 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
