Awaken Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Phoenix Sharp out in front who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Sharp has scored at least a third of Awaken Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Alahna Payne, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Awaken Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Adelson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
Awaken Christian will head out on the road to square off against the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (White Pine is ranked 59th, while the Lions are ranked 70th).
