Tim Provost Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Cheraw's Tim Provost, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Provost rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
The win (which was Cheraw's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. Provost and Cheraw will venture away from home to square off against Arickaree at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Trey Scheler and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Trey Scheler was instrumental in extending Cheyenne Wells's winning streak to eight on Saturday. Scheler wasn't messing around, rushing for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. The game was his fifth straight with three or more rushing touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Cheyenne Wells' win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers challenges Branson/Kim at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

William Ledbetter Makes It Two for Cheraw
The second Cheraw player making an appearance here is William Ledbetter, and for good reason. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
On the year, Ledbetter has run in 22 touchdowns while averaging 113.9 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 15 rushing yards per game.

Zach Dickey Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Cheyenne Wells picked up their eighth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Zach Dickey. Dickey rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 73 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Dickey has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 71.9 passing yards per game.

Cheyenne Wells Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Chason Turner
Chason Turner's big game helped extend Cheyenne Wells's winning streak to eight on Saturday. Nobody could stop Turner as he picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).
For the season, Turner has averaged 3.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had 1.5 sacks.
