Mohawk had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They lost to Bonanza by a decisive 16-33 margin. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Mohawk off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Bonanza a 1-0 record.
Mohawk will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Chiloquin at 7:00 PM. Bonanza are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against North Douglas next week at 7:00 PM.
