The Pleasant Grove Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Enochs Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pleasant Grove put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past Cosumnes Oaks 5-1. It was an even better day for Jalen Scott as he scored three goals for his team.
Julian Sevilla, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Pleasant Grove squad sat out for Monday's contest. With Sevilla sidelined, Donovan Avila got Avila first action of the season. Avila made the most of the opportunity, putting up an assist. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Enochs kept a clean sheet against Downey on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Knights out 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Enochs.
Pleasant Grove's win bumped their record up to 12-4-3. As for Enochs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6-5 record this season.
