It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lone Star Rangers can now relate to. They fell just short of the Jackrabbits by a score of 26-24. Lone Star's defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Despite the defeat, Lone Star saw an underclassman step up: Davian Groce picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Forney found their leader in underclassman Javian Osborne, who rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Osborne is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Lone Star's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Forney, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Lone Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Forney will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Richland at 6:00 p.m. on November 24th. One thing working in Richland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matches.
