The American Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past IMater Charter 82-46 at home. Considering American has won three matchups by more than 30 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
American's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennith Johnson, who scored 13 points. Derrius Black was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for American and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for iMater Charter, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American will be home for the holidays to greet Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Booker T. Washington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 467th, while American is ranked 134th). IMater Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Archbishop Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
